Senator Wilder Has One Last Request

Senator Wilder is giving his farewell speech.  Here’s what he had to say.

“I wanted to be governor so bad I could die.”

“I’m here to thank every one of you.  I thank you.”

“If my life has made any difference, it’s because I’ve been a state senator.”

Senator Wilder is urging lawmakers to reinstate the Tennessee Plan, which is judicial selection process in this state.

“This Tennessee Plan is one of the best in the nation.”

“I want you to know how much I appreciate you.  A lot of you know that.”

”I need to tell you I love you, and I mean I love you.  And God bless you.”

Senator Wilder just voted to try and bring the Tennessee Plan out of the committee to the floor.  Right now, Sen. McNally is reminding Wilder about how, back in the day, he himself insisted that everything go to through the committee system.  McNally moved it to the table.

“Senator McNally, what do I do now? Cry or something.”

Moved to the Table, the bill fails.

“I failed. I failed.  I failed you Randy.”
